Day 2 – Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage – Takajiri to Takahara. Not the longest section but the hardest climb. Your reward is magnificent cedar forests and unsurpassed scenery. We were blessed with perfect weather. Accommodation is at Tenkyu-no-Satoyama. Stunning views from our guest house, sleeps 10, our friendly host Kazuo-san will drive you to the local supermarket to buy fresh , local produce for your BBQ dinner.
