Our group of 12 friends(!) spent a day exploring Kyoto with Danny & Yuki-san from Jam Jar tours in May 2019.
It was fabulous!
We explored many of the major sites and also visited areas not on the tourist trail.

I had no idea of what was involved in this walking tour that my wife had booked after reading an article in the Melbourne Age.
All I really knew was that we had to meet at a particular Kyoto station by 8.00 am. We did a “recce ” the previous day so all went well. The station and train ride were both fascinating in their own way. Danny proved to be a delightful, enthusiastic guide not just about the places we visited but also about life in Japan. The temples, particularly the one at the end of our outward walk, were useful introductions to Japanese religious practice; the bamboo forest, seen in relative quiet, was majestic; the extended walk along the river and up a mountain side, was bracing and pleasurable; the bento box lunch, consumed beside the river, was delicious. The small group, at least in our experience, proved to be an added delight. In all, this proved to be a memorable excursion and we thank Danny for constructing a memorable day out.

We wete met by Danny who welcomed us w open arms. Great coffee,warm ambience in a central location.We were looking forward to the World Heritage Tour,,which was absolutely stunning,

OMG we had the best time with Danny.
Not only is the accommodation awesome and location…if you love coffee Danny makes and fabulous one. Any of the tours would be fabulous, we did the world Heritage sites and the lunch provided was delicious and we where able to eat it by the river.
Jam Jar Inn is a must on anyone’s bucket list.
It truly was a wonderful experience.
